Staff Training

For summer 2011, staff training will begin on Saturday, May 14th.

As an Anderson Camps team member your training will focus on developing skills that will enable you to supervise activities in a safe, responsible manner. First Aid and Lifeguard certifications, working with children, handling emergency situations, and outdoor survival are among the many topics covered. Our month-long training introduces all of our activities, both in and out of camp, including climbing and rappelling, ropes course, riflery, trap shooting, and many more. Raft guide training is extensive, involving a week long trip into to Utah, and several days on the stretches we run in Colorado.

Our staff doesn't consider a position at camp to be a vacation, but a personal growth opportunity. Leadership skills are highlighted and fine tuned, providing training that not only enhances your experiences while in camp, but is to your advantage in other career ventures as well.

On going training and support is provided for our team members through regular and special interest team meetings.
