Situated high in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, Anderson Camps is an original high country adventure camp for boys and girls age 7 - 17 ready for a true Rocky Mountain adventure. Established in 1962, Anderson Western Colorado Camps offers adventure camps focused on whitewater rafting, horseback riding, mountain climbing, backpacking, camping, and more all in the majestic Colorado high country.

Anderson Camps is not just another camp. It is a camp for boys and girls who are looking for an outstanding summer experience that is not offered at normal summer camp. We are looking for young men and women who want to lead an active life. We believe a positive camping experience provides a valuable and unique developmental opportunity for young people that is difficult to duplicate. Combining participation in a healthy outdoor environment with constructive activities that offer new challenges and experiences, camp encourages children to grow and prosper physically and mentally.

Anderson Western Colorado Camps offers activities that take full advantage of our western environment. Our unique location on the Colorado River allows us to provide daily rafting trips. The White River National Forest provides a majestic setting for hiking, climbing, horseback riding, and so much more.

Each summer we are pleased to include in every session, campers from previous years, many returning as often as five or more times. Also a privilege to us are campers who themselves are children of previous campers or staff members!

Many of our staff return year after year. Many have been campers here themselves and have returned to share the benefits they gained through their own quality experiences. Our summer community is enhanced greatly by the loyalty and pride our staff displays. Every new prospective staff member is throughly screened and personally interviewed.
