Colorado River Ranch is a co-ed program for boys, where the boys may interact with the girls from Hill Top Ranch during daily activities. Near the beginning of each session there is a cabin camp-out where the boys go on a camp-out with their cabin and counselors. This time allows the boys to be boys and to get to know each other and their counselors.
Each session there is an extended trip, which is co-ed. All the campers leave for a few nights to take part in the trip of their choice. Choices typically include white water rafting, horseback riding, mountain climbing, and caving.
The day starts every morning at 8:15 when all of camp meets in the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, each camper signs up for the morning activity of their choice, then return to their cabins for cabin clean up and to gather what they need for their chosen activity, which starts at 9:45. Lunch at 12:30 follows the morning activity, and each camper signs up for the afternoon activity of their choice. At 4:30 everyone meets at the camp store for a quick snack and to get their mail and packages, then 5 O'Clocks begin. 5 O'Clocks consist of 3 or 4 different organized sports and games, with different options every day. Dinner is at 6:30, and every evening after dinner there is a camp wide activity until its time for lights out at 9:30.
