Bios

Jessica Bode Daytona Beach, Florida Jess joins us from Jacksonville, Florida, where she just graduated from the University Of Northern Florida with a degree in Psychology and a minor in art. Jess loves travel, the beach, painting, photography, the beach, surfing, and the beach. She loves being active, especially out of doors, and is excited to see what the future holds.

Darcie Disner Greely, Colorado Darcie comes to us from the Front Range, although she lived in over 20 cities through 3 states before that. She is currently studying Elementary Education at the University of Northern Colorado. With a suitcase full of crazy socks in tow, she loves sea travel, occasionally moonlighting as a pirate, and hopes to join the peace corps in the future.

Candice Holbrook Polo and Homer, Illinois Candice joins us from the great flat to the east, specifically Eastern Illinois University, where she studies Recreation Administration. She comes with a great background in volunteer programs, including The Nature Conservancy, Teen REACH, the Special Olympics, and many more. She runs, hikes, bikes, plays basketball, and collects baseball cards. Candice loves to be outdoors, and has a passion for people and animals. She truly believes that small acts of kindness change the world.

Tempest Manthei Jacksonville Beach, Florida Tempest wanders into Colorado from the Florida realm. She attends school at the University of Northern Florida, where, when not surfing or on the beach, she studies Fine Art and Graphic Design. A fear of mustard and an inability to perform a cartwheel have not stopped Tempest from getting the most out of life, and coming to camp is one more stop on that journey. Although she won't admit it, she plays a mean guitar, and has a quality singing voice.

Monica Morrey St. Joseph, Missouri Monica comes from a long line of camp staff, many of her relatives worked here before, and we're excited to have her here. She attends Truman State University, where she is studying English. She is an avid runner, and plans to be on the Track & Field team at school this fall. She likes playing her violin, reading, cooking, anything outdoorsy, and having fun.

Libby Owen Jacksonville, Florida Libby joins us from nothern Florida, where(oddly enough) she attends the University of Northern Florida. When not studying Internation Business and Marketing, Libby can be found out in the sun, or on the beach, or trying extreme sports. Libby also loves to travel, most recently to China, New Zeland, and Fiji, and her future plans include more world-hopping, and being the new guitar hero(after she's done learning) for the generation.

Brittany Robinson Clemmons, North Carolina Brittany comes to us from a "dull suburban area" of North Carolina, and attends school at UNC. She is majoring in either Computer Science or Perpetual Studies, she's not sure which. She has been known to play the cello, although she says not well(she didn't bring it, so we don't know for sure). Brittany is looking forward to doing all the camp activites, especially rafting, riding, and rappelling(the new 3 Rs). Despite a Computer Science interest, the only video game she likes is Galaga.

Bailey Schofield Heber, Utah Bailey comes to us from the west, and the glorious state of Utah. She attends Utah Valley University, studies Outdoor Recreation, and runs through the sprinklers. Other hobbies include treehouse building, rock skipping, and piano playing. Bailey hopes to run an Adventure Outfitter in the future, where every trip will go out equipped with much hot cocoa.
